An incoming beam framing into a hollow structural section post is secured with bolted plates spaced at 4 inches on center. The hollow structural section post is sized per plan, with the incoming beam omitted in the elevation view for clarity. Stiffener plates and bolts connect the assembly across the centerline of the post.
