A continuous 3/8-inch bent plate bears on a wide flange steel beam with a minimum 2-inch bearing width and a maximum 1-foot overhang per architectural requirements. A steel roof deck is supported by the beam, with span directions per plan. The assembly includes a cold-formed steel cladding support framing downward from the beam centerline. Welds are specified as 1/4-inch fillet welds spaced at 4 to 12 inches.
