This concrete wall pier reinforcement detail specifies vertical and horizontal rebar placement around wall openings. Three number three full-length pier ties are placed at six inches on center both above and below the opening. Standard ties are spaced at thirty-two inches on center with intermediate spacing per schedule. Additional reinforcement is required where dimension J is less than or equal to L and L is less than or equal to four feet, or where L is less than or equal to H divided by two.
