A concrete housekeeping pad sits atop a concrete fill over metal deck and a structural steel beam. The pad incorporates number four reinforcing bars at sixteen inches on center each way placed at mid-depth, maintaining a one-and-a-half-inch concrete cover. The cold joint between the pad and the structural fill is roughened to a quarter-inch amplitude. Three-eighths-inch diameter expansion bolts anchor the pad at twenty-four inches on center at every other low flute. Additional number four reinforcing bars measuring forty-eight inches are spaced at eighteen inches on center at the beam parallel to the deck.
