An open web steel joist connects to a ledger angle via a five-inch by five-inch by three-quarter-inch angle, thirteen inches long, and a half-inch gusset plate. Seven-eighths-inch anchor bolts with standard washers are centered on the joist, with four total anchor bolts shown, supplemented by single seven-eighths-inch anchor bolts at three feet zero inches maximum on center between them. The top flange of the ledger is coped at each joist location. The assembly is anchored back with headed anchor bolts featuring double nuts. A five-sixteenths-inch fillet weld secures components as indicated, and erection bolts are placed where required per note six on sheet SD1.
