A concrete pipe trench is formed within a slab on grade with a maximum depth of one foot six inches and a typical bottom width of one foot. Slab reinforcement matches the primary slab on grade reinforcing and continues through the trench profile with hooked ends at the trench edges. Reinforcement is lapped with a typical Class 'A' lap splice outside the trench zone. Slab thickness 't' and reinforcing sizes are sized per structural plans.
