Light-gauge steel studs frame into a sill track matching the size and gauge of the wall studs. A 2x2 clip angle sized to match the stud gauge and the stud width minus one-half inch secures the sill to the jamb stud. Three number 10 sheet metal screws fasten each leg of the clip angle at the top and bottom of the sill. Number 10 sheet metal screws spaced at 12 inches on center fasten the stud and track assembly.
