Metal decking terminates at a discontinuity over structural steel beams with a maximum deck slope of 0.3 to 12. The metal deck is crimped flat against the top flange of the supporting steel beam to accommodate welding. Deck discontinuities are detailed to maintain proper alignment and bearing across the structural support.
