A rooftop leveling platform supports a new air conditioning unit above the existing roof assembly. The platform is framed with 2x6 grade-number-1 timber supported in Simpson joist hangers and sheathed with three-quarter-inch CDX plywood secured by ten-penny screw shank nails spaced four inches on center at edges and twelve inches on center intermediately, with edge blocking omitted. Three three-eighths-inch diameter by five-inch lag screws on each side of the curb, totaling eight, fasten the equipment curb by others to the wood support member sized per schedule. A cant strip transitions from the roof sheathing up to the curb.
