A cold-formed steel jamb stud connects to an overhead steel beam sized per plan using a deflection track. The track is secured to the steel beam flange with two powder-actuated fasteners at sixteen inches on center, with two each side at jambs or an optional weld. Alternatively, an option provides two welds each side of the jamb. The track is interrupted to pass jamb clips, and each clip is shot to the steel beam with four powder-actuated fasteners.
