A structural steel beam connects below a concrete panel joint centered on the structural grid line. A half-inch by one-foot eight-inch plate is embedded in the concrete panel, sized to the beam depth plus four inches. Nine three-quarter-inch diameter welded stud anchors are spaced at seven inches gauge on each side of the panel joint.
