A continuous steel angle measuring three inches by three inches by one-quarter inch is anchored with one-half-inch diameter by six-inch long headed stud anchors spaced at twelve inches on center along the slab edge. The concrete slab features a stepped configuration with a varying drop of up to one foot eight inches maximum and a six-inch slab thickness reinforced with number four bars at twelve inches on center each way. A construction joint is detailed at the slab transition with a two-foot lap splice dimension and a six-inch offset from the vertical face.
