A steel stud pony wall bears on a concrete foundation and is anchored using TSN StiffClip CL clips placed at every other stud, not to exceed thirty-two inches on center. Each stiffclip is secured to the bottom track with one half-inch diameter screw anchor having a four-and-a-quarter-inch minimum embedment. The bottom track is attached to the studs per exterior framing notes, and the sill track is welded together at splices or spliced per detail D1/S704. Typical track anchors are installed per structural notes.
