A concrete housekeeping pad sits atop a suspended concrete slab with a maximum height of six inches. The pad is reinforced with number four bars at twelve inches on center each way, tied into number four dowels placed at twenty-four inches on center around the perimeter of the pad. The contractor has the option to drill and epoxy dowels with a four-inch embedment in lieu of cast-in dowels, provided that care is taken not to damage the slab post-tensioning tendons or existing reinforcing.
