A steel joist bears on an embed plate assembly located across a concrete tilt-up wall panel joint. The assembly features a half-inch by twelve-inch by one-foot two-inch embed plate anchored by four three-quarter-inch diameter by five-inch heavy stud anchors in each panel. A three-eighths-inch by four-inch steel plate bridges the joint, secured with a three-quarter-inch diameter A325 bolt placed in a long slotted hole parallel to the tilt-up panel to allow for movement. The joist rests on a bearing angle measuring four by four by three-eighths inches and eight inches long, reinforced with two one-half-inch stiffener plates welded with typical fillet welds.
