This assembly provides a structural splice for cold-formed steel top tracks using a T150 track splice plate centered over the joint. The splice plate is fastened to the top track with number 10 sheet metal screws, with the quantity of screws per side of the splice and per side of the track determined by the 'N' value in the Top Track Splice Schedule. The splice plate length is defined by the 'X' dimension, with screws placed at 1 inch typical spacing from the ends of the plate. The connection is symmetrical about the splice centerline, with equal spacing provided on both sides of the joint.
