A one-half inch thick embed plate is anchored with two three-quarter-inch diameter welded studs six inches long and two number six bent dowels featuring full penetration welds to the plate. A hollow structural section column is welded to the embed plate using a one-quarter-inch fillet weld with a field weld flag indicator. An eighth-inch bent plate is positioned at the perimeter four inches clear of the vertical alignment.
