A wide flange beam connects to the web of the supporting girder using a connection plate secured with a bolted connection per the bolts schedule. Stiffener plates matching the thickness of the connection plate are provided on the opposite side of the girder web. For beams occurring on one side, a W24 minimum is required, while W16 minimum is required on each side for beams occurring on two sides.
