An HSS 6x6x1/4 structural steel tube column extends down into a cast-in-place concrete footing, passing through the finish slab. The embedded portion of the tube is anchored with four 1/2-inch diameter welded stud anchors, positioned two per side. The concrete footing measures 24 inches square or in diameter with a total depth of 3 feet and a 3-inch clearance beneath the bottom of the tube. A closure plate caps the top of the HSS column, and vertical dimensions are verified with architectural plans.
