This concrete wall construction joint details the connection between a first and second concrete pour featuring a centered 1 1/2-inch deep keyway measuring 12 inches long spaced at 24 inches on center. Two rows of keys are required where the concrete wall thickness is greater than 16 inches. Typical horizontal wall reinforcement continues through the joint section. The surface must be cleaned prior to placing concrete for the second pour.
