A glulam truss web member frames into a glulam top chord at a work point with an internal half-inch steel plate sandwiched between the members. Eight five-eighth-inch diameter by eight-inch-long drift bolts fasten each side of the connection. Hole diameters in the glulam members are one-thirty-second inch smaller than the drift bolts, while holes in the steel plate are one-thirty-second inch greater than the drift bolts. Bolt spacing is three inches on center typically, with one-and-a-half-inch edge distances.
