This structural plan view details a steel column base plate assembly for a frame end condition. The steel column is welded to the base plate with a complete joint penetration weld on three sides per the schedule. Ten anchor bolts with plate washers secure the assembly, complemented by 3/4-inch by 6-inch tall stiffener plates welded to the base plate using complete joint penetration welds. Gusset plates intersect the column and base plate, accompanied by a shear lug located below as specified. The base plate features a 1-inch diameter vent hole and grout holes with a maximum diameter of 2-1/2 inches.
