A concrete slab cantilever incorporates added reinforcement consisting of one number four top and bottom bar typically, along with one number four top and bottom bar measuring four feet in length. The cantilever extension is limited to a maximum dimension of two feet. Additional reinforcement requirements for cantilevers exceeding two feet must be coordinated with the architectural plans.
