A structural steel beam connects to an offset hollow structural section column using a three-quarter inch base plate. The beam-to-beam and base plate connections are detailed per sheet S5.2. Dimensions indicate a six and three-quarter inch offset from the column centerline with a one and a half degree angular variance. Typical beam and column centerlines are aligned according to the structural plans.
