A supported steel beam connects to a supporting steel beam member sized per plan. A shear tab connection is welded to the supporting beam flange and bolted to the supported beam web with three vertical bolts. Specific connection details and sizing are referenced to sheet S5.51. This connection type is designated for use at all exterior conditions, framing openings, and locations indicated by beam tags.
