A structural steel girder bears upon a column and connects to a coped steel beam framing into the corner. A Stiffclip LB600 or approved equal is attached to each stud using four number 12 self-tapping screws and three 3/16-inch diameter powder-actuated fasteners to the plate. Fillet welds of 1/4-inch size connect the structural steel components, with 3-sides welding specified at the vertical stiffener connection. Insulated metal panels span the exterior facade as detailed on the architectural drawings.
