Sleeves are installed at pipe or conduit penetrations through a concrete slab of thickness t. Minimum spacing between penetrations requires three times the diameter d or four inches minimum, whichever is greater. Reinforcing steel must remain uncut during penetration installation. Aluminum conduit in direct contact with concrete is strictly prohibited. Penetration sizes must be fully coordinated with pipe, conduit, and sleeve dimensions.
