A non-frame pipe column or hollow structural section tube mounts to a steel base plate anchored into a concrete footing or pilaster. The base plate is secured with anchor bolts featuring double nuts, hardened washers, and a half-inch by four-inch square plate washer at the embedment. A central or offset grout hole matches the anchor bolt hole size in diameter, and a three-inch minimum non-shrink grout layer sits beneath the base plate. The concrete footing includes number four ties spaced at six inches on center with a minimum of three ties.
