A wide-flange beam frames into a perpendicular frame or drag beam with a three-eighths-inch connection plate welded with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld. An L3 1/2x2 1/2x5/16 angle brace connects to the beam flange at a slope of one to two minimum, fastened with two seven-eighths-inch diameter A325 bolts at each end. The connection plate extends as required to receive two bolts when dimension H exceeds twelve inches. The brace is spaced at ten feet zero inches maximum to the perpendicular beam.
