A continuous hollow structural section tube framing member connects to a ledger at a precast concrete wall panel joint with embed plates on each side. The structural tube is coped around the ledger and reinforced with 3/8-inch by 4-inch by 0-foot-6-inch stiffener plates on each side of the tube. Embed plate "A" is secured with 3/4-inch diameter welded studs in groups of four and anchored into the concrete with two #5 by 2-foot-8-inch long dowels. The ledger splice is detailed per sheet SD.4 with specific bolting and full penetration weld requirements.
