An elevator guide rail support detail at an edge beam features a structural steel beam supporting concrete over metal deck with a 16-gauge closure plate. A temporary expansion joint is provided with a two-inch minimum bearing on each side, sized per plan. Deck attachments are installed according to general structural notes. The grid location includes locked and slip provisions.
