An HSS12x6 structural steel landing beam connects to an inclined interior stair stringer using an HSS6x4x1/4 member located between the interior stringers for handrail attachment with cap plates at each end. A 3-inch by 3-inch by 5/16-inch angle, 2 feet long, is centered between the interior stair stringer. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the connection assembly.
