An upper hollow structural section rail support connects to a structural steel beam via a one-half-inch base plate secured with four five-eighths-inch through bolts on the beam gauge. An angle brace frames into the beam web as specified on sheet thirteen. A lower hollow structural section rail support attaches to the underside of the beam using one-half-inch plates on each side with three-fourths-inch through bolts.
