Metal grating bears on an L3x2x3/8 angle with long leg horizontal, secured by manufacturer-specified bolt-down grating clips at six inches maximum spacing. The angle welds to a three-eighths-inch bent plate at the concrete slab edge with quarter-inch fillet welds at three-twelve intermittent spacing. The bent plate ties into the concrete deck and bears directly on the supporting steel wide-flange beam below. A maximum six-inch dimension bounds the slab edge overhang relative to the support.
