A continuous hollow structural section measuring eight by four by one-quarter inches connects to a concrete wall via a continuous twelve-by-four-by-one-quarter-inch hollow structural section. The assembly anchors to a one-half-inch-thick embed plate installed in the concrete wall with four three-quarter-inch-diameter welded studs, each six inches long with a full penetration weld to the plate. A layer of non-shrink grout is placed between the embed plate and the structural steel connection. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld secures the hollow structural section to the plate. Additional trellis framing members extend outward as specified on the framing plan.
