A davit socket pedestal is mounted atop a three-quarter-inch by twelve-inch square minimum base plate at the structural corner column. The supporting W12x26 beam connects to the column with a moment connection at each end utilizing a three-eighths-inch fillet weld. L8x4x1/2 angle bracing with long legs vertical supports the pedestal assembly off the framing. Clearances of two inches minimum and eight inches maximum are maintained per the structural plan.
