A structural steel beam sized per plan is anchored to a fourteen-inch concrete wall utilizing an embed plate measuring eight by four by three-eighths inches with two three-quarter-inch diameter head stud anchors at twenty-four inches on center. The floor construction consists of concrete over a metal floor deck bearing against the wall. A structural angle L3x3x1/4 connects the steel beam to the concrete wall assembly, while an angle L8x4x1/2 by four inches long at twenty-four inches on center between grids seven to eight provides additional beam support. The concrete wall is reinforced with vertical and horizontal reinforcing bars, with a separate embed plate assembly matching the upper connection supporting the lower flange of the steel beam. Fillet welds of one-quarter inch size secure the structural steel connections as indicated.
