A steel roof truss frames into a vertical support via a seat angle and bearing plate connection. The support features a one-half-inch thick bearing plate centered at the truss above, welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld of four-inch length. An L8x4x1/2 angle with long leg vertical serves as the seat, welded to the support with a quarter-inch fillet weld. A one-half-inch clearance separates the truss end from the vertical support. The truss bearing plate and connection to the seat plate are provided by the truss manufacturer.
