The exterior paving assembly consists of a four-inch thick concrete slab placed directly over a six-inch thick aggregate base. The aggregate base rests upon a compacted and prepared soil base to provide stable subgrade support. Standard concrete hatch patterns indicate the monolithic slab layer.
