A double-sided beam-to-column web connection uses shear plates and high-strength bolts. Connecting wide-flange beams frame into each side of the supporting column web, secured by shear plates "T" and high-strength bolts "Q" sized per the schedule. The connection features welds sized "S" per the schedule and notes that shear tab extension is not required at W12 beams and smaller. The shear tab is extended as shown where dimension "D" exceeds four inches or at a single-sided connection condition, maintaining clearance "K" per the AISC manual.
