A hollow structural section (HSS) canopy member is welded to a one-half inch by nine inch by one foot steel plate. This plate is secured to the concrete wall using four three-quarter inch diameter by six inch long headed stud bolts spaced at six inches gauge. The HSS member is attached to the plate with a one-quarter inch fillet weld. All welded edges are to be ground smooth in preparation for priming and painting.
