An HSS24x12 column supports horizontal HSS10x6 members sized per plan. Connection is achieved using a 3/8-inch end plate welded to the HSS members with a quarter-inch fillet weld on both sides, reinforced by typical L4x4x3/8 by 0-foot-7-inch angles centered below. Additional plates per sheet 1/S-152 tie into a wide-flange column specified in the structural column schedule. All welds are specified with field weld indicators and specific sizes, including 3/16-inch welds around four sides of the reinforcing elements.
