Double angles sized L 3x3x1/4 provide lateral bracing between structural steel beams, connected using a 3/8-inch plate with 3/4-inch diameter A307 bolts at the top and bottom. The angles feature stitch connections with 3/8-inch by 3x0'-3 1/2" plates spaced at 12'-0" on center maximum. A 3/16-inch fillet weld secures the bracing components with a 1 1/2-inch all-around weld typical at the gusset connection, maintaining a 3-inch maximum typical clearance. An open web joist is indicated per plan.
