A wide flange cantilever beam connects to a supporting wide flange beam with a shear plate and high-strength bolts at the web. Complete joint penetration welds are specified at the top and bottom flanges typically. The cantilever beam matches the size of the back span beam unless noted otherwise. Shear plate welds and fasteners conform to the typical beam connection schedule on sheet SD6.0.
