The roof deck splice is formed by overlapping the corrugated metal panels at the joint over the wide flange beam top flange. Five staggered Hilti powder-actuated fasteners secure the overlapping deck sheets through to the supporting structural steel flange. Equal spacing dimensions govern the placement of the fasteners across the splice length. The assembly transfers diaphragm shear across the deck break directly into the structural framing member.
