A moment-connected beam frames into a supporting beam with typical top and bottom moment connections. The assembly features complete-joint-penetration groove welds typically at the top and bottom flanges, alongside bolted web connections using connection plates. Weld access holes are provided per AISC 360 standards where required. The supporting beam is shown both deeper than and equal in depth to the moment-connected beam.
