A 3/8-inch full-depth plate welded to a wide-flange girder web connects to an incoming wide-flange beam with bolts spaced at three inches typical. The beam web receives a cope with a maximum length defined by plan and schedule references. Fillet welds of 1/4-inch secure the shear plate to the beam and girder components. Dimensions indicate a 3/4-inch offset from the plate centerline to the face of the girder web.
