An HSS post connects to a concrete foundation via a base plate assembly and anchor bolts. Two three-quarter-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 36 anchor bolts with six-inch embeds secure the assembly. A half-inch by five-inch by one-foot-zero-inch plate is welded with quarter-inch and three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds. A one-and-a-half-inch layer of non-shrink grout sits beneath the plate, featuring a half-inch weep hole. A quarter-inch by two-inch by zero-foot-two-inch plate and a window system occur adjacent to the assembly.
