A deck support angle sized L4x4x1/4 by column width plus two inches is welded beneath the metal floor deck at the slab edge. The horizontal leg of the angle is clipped as required to clear the slab edge conditions. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the angle with field weld notations. The concrete over metal floor deck bears against the steel column and steel beam framing.
