A cold joint is formed in the concrete fill over the metal deck between the first and second pour. The form is removed and the joint surface is roughened before proceeding with the second pour. Number four reinforcing bars are spaced at twelve inches on center along the cold joint. A Class 'B' lap splice is provided for the reinforcement across the joint. The concrete fill and reinforcement are sized per schedule over the specified metal deck.
